More than 100 Morgan Elementary students started their day on the right foot by participating in the national walk to school day.
As they have for the past five years, students walked the two miles from Mae Stecker Park to Morgan Elementary to promote health and environmental awareness.
“I liked walking, hearing the nature and seeing animals," said fifth grader Markie Feyers.
Her dad, Anthony, said the morning also benefited the school's parent community.
"I enjoyed the time with my kids and the exercise together as we walked to school," he said. Feyers is also the volunteer coordinator for the school's PTO.
